Andrew Garfield Responds to Tom Holland's 'Fake Butt' Accusations

Holland previously claimed one of the Spider-Men in No Way Home wore a prosthetic posterior.

Andrew Garfield is getting dragged into the discussion of which Spider-Man actor may or may not have had a fake butt during the filming of No Way Home, and he’s providing some fascinating insight.

The whole debacle kicked off after Tom Holland appears on Late Night with Seth Meyers last week to talk about his recent films. The conversation turned to No Way Home and the youngest web-slinger had this to say:

“I’ll give you a spoiler and I’m not gonna tell you who,” he said, “but one of us has a fake ass in their suit. You can figure that out for yourselves.”

Holland’s interviews always tend to reveal something wildly unexpected, and this certainly fit the bill, sending fans of both Marvel and butts off to open their own investigations into the allegations.

A red carpet reporter wanted to get Andrew Garfield’s take on Holland’s claim, and asked him if he had any further insight into who was packing ass under their spidey suit.

“I have no idea. Not me. So I have no clue. I don’t want to…I assumed everyone’s butts were their butts,” he said, prompting a follow-up conclusion from the interviewer.

“So it’s not you, it’s not Tom, so I guess that means…”

“No, I don’t think it’s Tobey,” Garfield interrupted. “I’ve seen Tobey’s butt. Tobey’s got back.”

The mystery continues! Fortunately, the home video release is said to include another 20 minutes of Garfield and Maguire joining Holland in the multiverse, so we’ll have more footage of everyone’s butts to ahem, investigate.
