Raven-Symoné and the cast of Raven’s Home are getting in on the backlash over Florida’s “Don’t Say Gay” bill.

Raven’s Home, the all grown up sequel series to That’s So Raven, has been airing on the Disney Channel since 2017, and currently stars Raven herself as well as a new young cast of characters and some familiar faces from the original show.

They joined Disney employees from all corners of the company who have been staging walkouts in recent days, in reaction to Disney’s now-infamous failure to take action or even release a timely statement condemning Florida’s “Don’t Say Gay” bill, which many feel would ostracize or even endanger LGBTQ+ children and children from LGBTQ+ families in the state.

“We’re the cast of Raven’s Home and the [executive producers] and we are walking out today in support of this ridiculous bill,” Raven said in a video posted to her Instagram Tuesday. “We don’t like it! We’re walking out! It’s stupid! We love everyone and…support, support, support.”

She expanded on the sentiment in the caption, writing, “In todays world it is imperative that we take stands, show support, and move forward not backwards.

“Every family every person and every child deserves to be recognized no matter their race, gender, or sexual orientation. Education that reflects the truth and the world we live in is something we must fight for.”

Raven herself has been out since 2013, and married her wife, Miranda Maday, in 2020.

Disney Branded Television confirmed the walkout in a statement to ET Online, saying, “Production on our series Raven’s Home was interrupted today when members of the cast participated in a walkout designed to stand in solidarity with the LGBTQIA+ community. Our colleagues have both our respect and our support.”
