Bisexuality is a huge part of the LGBTQ+ community, but it is often left out of the conversation.
Bi-erasure is real — especially if you’re bisexual and currently in a same-sex relationship — but luckily there are celebrities who are living their lives out loud and proud, proving to everyone just how valid the bisexual identity is.
These celebrity women came out while in the public eye and haven’t shied away from talking about being bisexual to help bring more awareness and understanding. They’ve opened up on red carpets, given countless interviews, posted on social media, and while no one should ever feel pressured to come out and speak publicly about their sexuality, these celebs have helped make bisexuality more visible.
So let’s not forget the B in LGBTQ+!
Megan Fox
Jennifer’s Body star Megan Fox came out as bisexual back in 2009 in Esquire when she said that she has "no question in my mind about being bisexual."
She reaffirmed her sexuality on March 16, 2026 when she shared photos on Instagram of herself in the sexy black dress she wore to Jay-Z and Beyoncé’s annual Gold Party with the caption, "I go both ways."
Anna Camp
Scream 7 star Anna Camp came out casually in a TikTok video last year and started publicly dating girlfriend Jade Whiskey, but she came out officially as bisexual in an episode of the I've Never Said This Before with Tommy DiDario podcast on March 10, 2026.
"As a 43-year-old woman, I am very proud of myself for owning my sexuality at this age," she said. "I am a very strong person for doing it in somewhat of a spotlight with people criticizing and judging and making assumptions. I'm really proud to be bisexual."
Tessa Thompson
Hedda star Tessa Thompson came out in a June 2018 interview with Net-a-Porter where she talked about how accepting her family is of her sexuality.
"I can take things for granted because of my family – it’s so free and you can be anything that you want to be. I’m attracted to men and also to women. If I bring a woman home, [or] a man, we don’t even have to have the discussion," she explained.
Aubrey Plaza
Honey Don’t actress Aubrey Plaza came out as bi in a 2016 Advocate interview where she said she falls in love with "girls and guys."
“Oh, yeah. I don't mind. I know I have an androgynous thing going on, and there's something masculine about my energy,” she said. “Girls are into me -- that's no secret. Hey, I'm into them too. I fall in love with girls and guys. I can't help it.”
Anna Paquin
True Blood’s Anna Paquin announced her bi identity in 2010 in a PSA for True Colors Fund's "Give a Damn" campaign. "I'm bisexual, and I give a damn," Paquin said in the PSA.
Lauren Jauregui
Lauren Jauregui, best known as a member of Fifth Harmony, came out as bi in 2016 in an open letter to Donald Trump voters following the presidential election.
"I am a bisexual Cuban-American woman and I am so proud of it," she wrote. "I am proud to be part of a community that only projects love and education and the support of one another…. I am proud to be the granddaughter and daughter of immigrants who were brave enough to leave their homes and come to a whole new world with a different language and culture and immerse themselves fearlessly to start a better life for themselves and their families."
Evan Rachel Wood
Evan Rachel Wood told her mom she was bi when she was 12 years old, but didn’t come out publicly until 2012. "I was so scared and cried so hard I never got the words out," she wrote in a Twitter interview with the Advocate. "I told her years later. Before I came out publicly.”
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Wood said she hid her sexuality for years because of the anti-gay hate speech she heard. “I thought women were beautiful,” she said. “But because I was born that way I never once stopped to think that was strange or anything to fear.”
Halsey
Pop star Halsey has been open about her bisexuality since she rose to fame in 2015, and has made a point to be outspoken about bi-erasure.
“I’m a young, bisexual woman, and I’ve spent a large part of my life trying to validate myself — to my friends, to my family, to myself — trying to prove that who I love and how I feel is not a phase; it’s not part of some confusion that’s going to change or could be manipulated,” the singer said when she accepted her GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding Music artist in 2018.
Billie Eilish
Bisexual singer Billie Eilish said she thought people already knew when news of her sexuality made headlines. She officially came out on the red carpet at a Variety event, but has said that she’s sick of talking about it.
“i like boys and girls leave me alone about it,” she wrote on Instagram. “please literally who cares.”
Stephanie Beatriz
Stephanie Beatriz famously played bisexual cop Rosa Diaz in Brooklyn 99, but the actress is bi in real life too. She came out publicly in 2016 even though she feared it would effect her career because she also wanted to fight back against bi-erasure, especially for bi women in relationships with men.
“I think as a bisexual woman who is currently married to a man, what was important to me was that the world knew that I wanted to be open about who I was," she told Page Six.
Dove Cameron
Though Dove Cameron has also referred to herself as both bisexual and queer, she came out as bi in the Gay Times back in 2021.
"With the process of coming out, it was about who I am as a whole rather than who I choose to date or sleep with," Dove said. "I’m choosing to love myself, to be who I am every day and not edit myself depending on the room that I’m in. I’m making no apologies for who I am."
Kali Uchis
Grammy-award-winning R&B artist Kali Uchis has been openly bisexual throughout her whole career. In an interview with Antidote Magazine she talked about kissing a woman in her "la luz (Fín)" music video.
"The video emphasizes my bisexuality, for example," she said. “I wanted to show that there is not one way to label me. The one for ‘Aquí Yo Mando‘ highlights female power. What connects all the videos for Sin Miedo is the notion of pride and empowerment, which I wanted to convey to my fans."
Lady Gaga
The “Poker Face” singer came out as bisexual in an interview with Barbara Walters in 2009 and has talked about her experience with her sexuality multiple times over the years.
"You know what? It's not a lie that I am bisexual and I like women, and anyone that wants to twist this into 'she says she's bisexual for marketing,' this is a fucking lie," she told the crowd during a 2013 ARTPOP release party in Berlin. "This is who I am and who I have always been."
Cardi B
Cardi B began speaking openly about her bisexuality when she was doing press for the release of her song “Girls,” but has dealt with accusations of “queerbaiting” throughout her career.
She told Rolling Stone: "I’m married to a man, but I have expressed so much about my bisexuality and my experiences with girls. All of a sudden, 'queerbaiting' is the new word and people use it to the ground!"
Lili Reinhart
Riverdale star Lili Reinhart came out as bi in 2020 by sharing a “LGBTQ+ for #BlackLives Matter” protest on her Instagram page and then later opened up in an interview with Nylon Magazine.
"I didn't want to come out and talk about it because I felt that bisexuality was becoming a trend [among celebrities], but I've supported the LGBTQ community since I was a little tween, and it just felt organic," she said.
