Fans have been getting glimpses of the stars in Toronto as filming for the second season of everyone’s favorite gay hockey smut series is currently underway. First it was Storrie's sweet friendship with co-star Hudson Williams that was driving fans wild, and now the internet is obsessed with his new buzzcut.
Storrie, who plays bisexual Russian hockey player Ilya Rozanov, was spotted eating at a restaurant with co-star Christina Chang. She plays Shane Hollander's mom Yuna Hollander, and his lack of blond curls sent fans into a tailspin.
The photo of the two stars together quickly went viral, and while some fans were heartbroken that Ilya won’t have his angelic curls in season 2 — apparently, some fans have forgotten that hair grows back and wigs exist — many fans were put at ease the second they saw how hot Storrie looks with a buzzcut.
The now-viral photo only shows the back of Storrie’s head, but the 26-year-old star sported a buzzcut in the film April X — a movie he shot before Heated Rivalry — so fans have a good idea of what he’ll look like with short hair.
While it's unclear if Storrie chopped off his locks for Heated Rivalry or another project, the new haircut shouldn’t have come as a surprise to fans since the actor has been talking about cutting his hair for a while now.
“I’m ready to cut this stuff off if y’all want me to be completely honest,” he said in a Teen Vogue video. “I’m ready to shave my head. I don’t know who’s out there, but someone hire me and give me a crazy haircut.”
Storrie also told Vogue in a “Get Ready With Me Video” to wait “until we cut it all off,” adding, “I want to.”
