Nobody moves quite like Templo.
The award-winning and sexy performer started his dance career ten years ago with aerial performance. Fast forward to today, Templo has expanded his craft into pole dancing, which has earned him numerous accolades and even opened the door for him to judge competitions in Argentina and Mexico.
Now, tourists visiting The Tryst Puerto Vallarta get to watch Templo dance on one of the biggest poles in Mexico as he regularly performs on the property's rooftop pool overlooking the gorgeous ocean.
"I started playing around with the pole! I love being sexy. I have such a power when I do this. Pole dancing came at a right time in my life to set me free. I didn't choose to do it, pole dancing chose me. I'm so blessed," Templo tells Out.
Templo's career certainly speaks for itself, but the talented entertainer had an interesting journey finding confidence as a pole dancer.
Once he started experimenting with the pole, a former mentor discouraged him from pursuing his passion further as she said it was an unprofessional and inappropriate route to take.
"I used to perform in a group. I was doing splits, shaking my ass, and moving sexy because it was part of my nature. She told me that I was an artist, so I couldn't act like that. By listening to her, I started getting in my head and judging the art form."
Everything changed once Templo started teaching flexibility classes and was reintroduced to the world of pole dancing. Although he battled internally with the craft for a couple of years, he finally followed his heart and decided to ignore any prior judgements.
"Once I took a pole dance class, it was about sexiness and power. It made me realize that I'm a sexy person. It's fine to be sexy! I can as much as a good artist by being a pole dancer. It's part of the art form that I want people to see and enjoy!"
The rest they say, is history. With over 100,000 followers on Instagram, Templo is one of the recognized pole dancers around the world and he's thrilled that he gets to live out his dreams every single day.
