Stevie Mathers, the 21-year-old adopted child rapper Eminem shares with his ex-wife Kim Scott, has recently shared some personal updates about their first “serious” relationship after coming out as genderfluid.

In 2005, Eminem adopted Mathers after reconciling with Scott following their 2001 divorce. The couple remarried in January 2006 but divorced again in April of the same year. Mathers' biological father sadly passed away in 2019.

Speaking on the podcast Just A Little Shady, hosted by their sister and Eminem's other daughter, Hallie Jade Scott, Mathers revealed that they've been in a relationship with a man named Jase for the past two years. They shared, "My boyfriend, his name is Jase. He moved in with me like last year in December. It’s going really well."

Before Jase moved in, the two maintained a long-distance relationship. Mathers acknowledged the challenges but emphasized the strength of their connection, stating, "It’s hard but I feel like if you really have a connection with someone, it can work, especially if you make time for it to work. It’s a hard thing, but it’s a lot easier and it’s worth it when you get to live together and actually experience those things. But yeah, it’s been really fun. It’s been a learning experience too. I’d say this is my first like serious relationship in my adult life."

Mathers and Jase have also made their relationship Instagram official, sharing pictures of their adventures, including woodland walks, cuddling in bed, and attending a wedding. In one caption, Mathers quoted rock singer Gavin DeGraw, saying, "‘cause you make my heart sing."

Mathers’ journey to self-discovery extends beyond their relationship. They came out as genderfluid in a moving TikTok video in 2021, where they explained that they had chosen the name Stevie for themselves and were comfortable with all pronouns. When asked by a fan about their name choice, they revealed that they had "spent a long time trying to pick a name" and "the first name [they] felt comfortable with is Stevie."
