A new thriller starring two fan favorite hunks might be on the way!

GeekVibesNation reported Thursday that Mason Gooding and Luke Evans are in talks to star in the upcoming film Cancun from Kick-Ass 2 writer/director Jeff Wadlow.

The film would allegedly follow a 25-year-old college freshman and former Marine, played by Gooding, who has to save the day after a terrorist group led by Evans’ character takes spring breakers at a Cancun resort hostage.

There is no confirmation about the project or its potential stars as of yet, although GVN says it’s set up with Lionsgate and Thunder Road Pictures.

Fans of both actors are already hoping this somehow turns into a situation where the ex-Marine and terrorist somehow end up calling a truce long enough to get up close and personal with one another in a sexier way.

GoodingGooding is fresh off the success of Scream VI, with several other movies — including one about a war veteran dealing with a hostage situation — on the way, whereas Evans has recently appeared in the series Nine Perfect Strangers and Echo 3.

Wadlow has been working closely with Blumhouse in recent years, co-writing and directing films including Truth or Dare, Fantasy Island, and the upcoming Imaginary, which is slated to be released by Lionsgate next February.
