It looks like Amazon can't get enough of Jill Soloway. After the massive success of her Emmy and Golden Globe-winning show Transparent, they've ordered the ever-so-subtly titled I Love Dick, a half-hour pilot Variety descibes as a 'highbrow sex-comedy' from Topple Productions, a newly formed company by Soloway and Andrea Sperling. Deadline describes the plot, based on Chris Kraus' 1997, as such:

"I Love Dick is set in a colorful academic community in Marfa, Texas. It centers on a struggling married couple, Chris and Sylvere, and their mutual obsession with an off-putting but charismatic professor, Dick. Told in Rashomon-style shifts of POV, I Love Dick charts the unraveling of a marriage, the awakening of an artist and the reluctant deification of a man named Dick."

The pilot will be written by playwright Sarah Gubbins and directed by Soloway.

Soloway is having a pretty amzing year. Recently, Amazon renewed Transparent - which follows a trans woman who's recently come out to her dysfunctional family - for a third season. Prior to that, Soloway won the Emmy Award last September, and she came out in December as being very happily in a same-sex relationship with poet Eileen Myles.

No release date has been announced for I Love Dick, but we're thrilled Amazon seems to be working hard to make sure there's no dearth of Jill Soloway in our lives and on our screens. We certainly hope we love Dick too!
