Drag Race Brasil, the long-anticipated Brazilian version of RuPaul’s Drag Race, has finally announced the host and main judge of the series. Grag Queen, who won the first season of the singing competition Queen of the Universe, was chosen to fulfill those duties.

Much like Brooke Lynn Hytes on Canada’s Drag Race, Grag Queen will fill in the footsteps of RuPaul on the Brazilian edition of Drag Race, which will crown one queen as Brazil’s Next Drag Superstar.

In the US and around the world, Drag Race Brasil will air on WOW Presents Plus. In Brazil, the series will air on MTV and Paramount+.

According to a release, Grag Queen “was born in Canela, a city in the Serra Gaúcha mountains in Rio Grande do Sul, but has already conquered the entire universe. She was the winner of the first season of Queen of the Universe and has taken her voice around the world with her hits like ‘Party Everyday,’ ‘Milkshake,’ and her latest single ‘Que Passa.’”

A Brazilian edition of Drag Race has been rumored to be in the works for many years, but it’s all finally happening now. With so many existing drag superstars like Pabllo Vittar and Gloria Groove in the country, the expectations are very high to see what this cast of queens will be able to deliver on the show.

Fans asked for Drag Race to “please come to Brazil,” and it is now on its way!

Drag Race Brasil is coming soon to WOW Presents Plus.
