As Hollywood opens itself up to new and interesting stories, we have the awesome opportunity to see bits of ourselves and our lives through the eyes of the film industry’s brightest minds. And 2018 is no different.

Based on the novel Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli, Love, Simon tells the story of 17-year-old Simon Spier who’s still in the closet and falling in love with an anonymous classmate online. The film looks incredibly cute and hilarious and is set to hit theaters this March!
Set in 1993, The Miseducation of Cameron Post finds protagonist Cameron Post stuck in a tricky situation: she’s been caught having sex with the school’s prom queen and is being carted off to gay conversion therapy by her aunt and uncle. The film is based on the novel of the same name by author emily m. danforth.
Based on true events, Boy Erased tells the story of a teenager from a small, all-American town who’s also the son of a local pastor. When he’s outed to his religious parents, he must choose between attending gay conversion therapy and being exiled from his family and community.
Looking for a film about vintage lesbians? This one’s it! Vita and Virginia is based on the true and fascinating love affair between literary genius Virginia Woolf and socialite Vita Sackville-West. The film will star Gemma Arterton as Sackville-West and Elizabeth Debicki as Woolf.
Billy Bloom is more than comfortable living with his mother, as she encourages his penchant for gender-bending and fashion. But when Billy’s mom sends him to live with his humorless father, he’s way out of his depth in his new conservative surroundings. Determined to live life as he sees fit, Billy is dead-set on making a big statement about identity and understanding.
Starring Rachel McAdams and Rachel Weisz, Disobedience follows the story of a woman who returns to the Orthodox Jewish Community in North London after the death of her estranged father. There, she reunites with a female childhood friend and sparks fly!
