He's teaming up with the Nightcrawler director once more for the arthouse thriller!

Jake Gyllenhaal and Dan Gilroy, writer and producer of Nightcrawler, are teaming up again for the Netflix thriller Velvet Buzzsaw, premiering at the Sundance Film Festival later this month. 

The Brokeback Mountain star will play Morf Vandewalt, a brutally honest art critic who Queerty reports, is, in fact, gay (and even has a sex scene in the film). When an unknown artist's paintings are discovered after his death, he posthumously gains notoriety for his work. But a supernatural force lives within the paintings and wreaks havoc on the art community. 

Velvet Buzzsaw hits select theaters and Netflix February 1. Watch the trailer in the video below.
