When we first heard that Alicia Vikander and Lily James were joining the Four Weddings and a Funeral short sequel for Red Nose Day as brides to be, the sky burst open and glitter rained down, promising every queer on earth a future free of sadness and pain.

Well, the special finally aired in the UK and it looks even better than we hoped.

The sequel sees a number of original cast members returning, including Hugh Grant and Andie MacDowell, and was written by the og screenwriter, Richard Curtis.

James plays the daughter of Grant’s character, while Vikander plays the daughter of his best friend Fiona, a role reprised by Kristin Scott Thomas. The two grew up together as best friends themselves, who eventually realized their feelings were something more.

While the short aired in the UK on Friday, those of us in the United States will have to wait until May 23rd for it air on NBC as part of the US version of Red Nose Day.

But for now, at least we have these clips, along with the screeching excitement of those who have already seen it.
