Netflix's newest teen movie Work It is a callback to the blockbuster dance films of the early 2000s!

Starring Sabrina Carpenter, Liza Koshy, Jordan Fisher, and Love, Simon star Keiynan Lonsdale, the story follows Quinn, a high school senior desperate to get into Yale and thinks being a part of her school's dance team is the ticket in.

She auditions for the Thunderbirds, the best dance crew in the school headed by Lonsdale. "The 'Work It' competition is in five months," he tells Quinn after she bombs the audition. "I don't need you stinking up the place."

So she decides to form her own crew, a ragtag group of misfit dancers desperate to snatch the title. Will she take the crown? And will Lonsdale give us the hilarious diva moments we deserve? We'll just have to wait and see!

Work It premieres August 7 on Netflix. Watch the trailer below!
