Following its sold-out run in IMAX theaters, Halsey's album/film If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power will soon be available to watch at home.

HBO Max has acquired the film and will premiere it on Thursday, October 7 as a MAX ORIGINAL film.

Set to the music of her latest album, the film presents Halsey "as the young and pregnant Queen Lila," the press release reads. "After a shocking event, Lila unlocks a paranormal power within and discovers her ability to create life (and end it). Offering a stunning visual treat for fans, this evocative, horror-tinged fairytale explores the labyrinth of sexuality and birth."

Halsey, who has been open about her pregnancy struggles and miscarriages in the past, gave birth to her first child, Ender Ridley Aydin, this past July. "Gratitude. For the most 'rare' and euphoric birth. Powered by love," she wrote on Instagram at the time.

The pop star is beloved for her dedication to storytelling in her previous music videos, so the progression to a full film feels natural for the "Without Me" singer. If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power was written by Halsey and directed by Colin Tilley. The album was produced by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross of Nine Inch Nails.
