Naya Rivera's final role will be as Catwoman in the upcoming animated DC film, Batman: The Long Halloween.
Recorded in 2018, a new behind-the-scenes clip from Entertainment Weekly shows Rivera laughing about getting to do that infamous Catwoman hiss.
“My favorite thing to record today was I got to hiss like a cat,” she said. “They liked it!”
The Long Halloween also stars Supernatural's Jensen Ackles as Batman and Josh Duhmel as Harvey Dent. According to The Mary Sue, the film is based on "a 13-issue comic series that tackles the early years of Bruce Wayne as Batman and also set[s] up the origin story of Two-Face. It very much is the story that sets up how Batman’s arrival in Gotham did help to transform the world into the costume party collection of rogues that we see today."
It'll certainly be bittersweet way to hear Rivera's voice again.
Batman: The Long Halloween, Part One will be released on digital and Blu-Ray on June 22, 2021. Part Two will be available July 27.
