Looks like Sia took a break from swinging from chandeliers to get a little political on Twitter. Not even 24 hours after the first presidential debate between Republican nominee Donald Trump and Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton, the enigmatic pop star posted a mash-up video featuring clips from the debate along with audio snippets from her latest single "The Greatest."
"Uh-oh, running out of breath, but I, oh, I, I got stamina. Uh-oh, running now, I close my eyes, well, oh, I got stamina. And uh-oh, I see another mountain to climb, but I, I, I got stamina."
The repeat of the word "stamina" fits serendipitously with one of the debate's most telling moments, when Trump tried to divert his statements about Clinton's lack of "presidential look" by referring, instead, to her "stamina." What Trump didn't expect? The blatant attempt at misdirection played perfectly into Clinton's hands, giving her the springboard to quip back with one of her best zings of the night:
"As soon as he travels to 112 countries and negotiates a peace deal, a cease fire, a release of dissidents, an opening of new opportunities in nations around the world, or even spends 11 hours testifying in front of a congressional committee, he can talk to me about stamina."
Boom.
