5 Crazy Bathroom Bills That Failed to Pass
Bathroom bills have gained heavy traction across the nation and, regardless of their alleged intent, bathroom bills are undeniably transphobic legislation. They are attempts to control and influence the behavior of the trans community under the guise of protecting people from a threat that does not exist.
In addition to regulating bathrooms, bathroom bills also commonly deny local government from enacting ordinances and laws meant to protect LGBTQ+ people, allowing for legal discrimination. All bathroom bills are not the same, however. Here are five bathroom bills with peculiar stances and punishments, all of which failed to pass.
