How to Walk With Pride This Season

How to Walk With Pride This Season

Meet Michael Cook, the market editor over at OUT Magazine. Michael’s never afraid to don a splash of color while he explores his hometown of New York City. We asked Michael what pride means to him and how he recommends dressing for the upcoming festivities now that LGBT Pride month is officially here.

“Pride for me is about being surrounded with love and kindness,” says Cook, “and there’s no better way to do that than being with those that you love most.”

Fancying flowers for this year’s march? “I love a vintage inspired print (especially a floral one) it adds a dash of fun to a normal shirt.”

Mr. Cook gives us a floral-360.

Craving sun and sand? Whether you're heading to Fire Island or Miami Beach - there are plenty of ways to stand out and show your pride.

“A Gap blue t-shirt is a great basic that is easy to layer into any look.”

"I love printed pants or shorts, and swimwear is no exception. Plus they look great as a pair of shorts for a weekend afternoon."

See these looks and many more ways to dress for your favorite Pride festivities this month over at Gap's Styld.by site.

“The LGBT community has made leaps and bounds in the past few years, bringing visibility to who we are.”

It’s time to stand out!
