Why Tatianna Should Win Season 2 of 'RuPaul's Drag Race All-Stars'

Thank yew!

There have been 100 queens that have passed through the work room of RuPaul's Drag Race, but few have left the impression that season 2's Tatianna did. Only 21 at the time of her season, Tatianna had a rollercoaster of an experience that few contestants could ever understand. I remember watching her season seven years ago (wow!), and just being in awe of her, but more specifically, being in awe of how she carried herself despite the many obstacles she faced.

When I heard that she was going to be part of RuPaul's Drag Race All-Stars 2, I was ecstatic. I knew immediately who I would be cheering for to take the crown. That being said, I'm not here to say that she's better than everyone else and that she's going to win for sure, because with this mysterious voting thing teased in the season's trailer (and there being like 50 queens from season 5), she might once again be all on her own against everyone else, which spells trouble if you need alliances. She is the only queen there from season 2, after all.

In honor of one of my favorite queens, here are the reasons why I want Tatianna to be the second queen inducted into the Drag Race Hall of Fame.

1) The bullies couldn't stop her

Now this is where the opinions can get a bit divided. I use the word bullies intentionally here, not to target one specific queen, but rather, to comment on the continual situation which seemed to put Tati against the majority of the group. She was often dubbed a "pretty queen," whose only worth was her looks. Tati stayed strong, going toe-to-toe with Raven, Tyra, and Sonique and Morgan McMichaels, at the same time, throughout the season.

I'm not suggesting that her competition had to love her, but ultimately, someone could've made peace and ended the drama long before she was eliminated. When someone gets ganged up on it just makes them look better, and it's hard to argue that she wasn't ganged up on. I mean, look at Jinkx Monsoon, who took on Rolaskatox, and tell me what the difference is between the two, aside from the fact that Jinkx won.

Constantly scrutinized and constantly criticized, Tati stayed strong and made it all the way to the final 4, despite people thinking that everything she did was shit and then lying about it (see video below).

Since the season aired, the queens have made peace, so please don't think I'm trying to fan the flames of drama because this is years old. They even do fun episodes of Fashion Photo Ruview together.

2) Her epic Britney Spears won her the first ever Snatch Game

Ms. Tati won the Snatch Game before the queens knew to prepare for it, and way before queens had an idea of what it takes to win. She was the queen who came from behind because no one would have expected the shy Tati to turn out the performance that she did. Her impersonation of Britney Spears has gone down in Drag Race herstory as one of the very best. It's still hilarious, and I'm still not over "hide the cucumber."

3) She kept it real at the reunion

Let's be honest, the best part of season 2's reunion was seeing Tatianna and Raven have the showdown that we were all waiting for. Tati put everything out on the table and finally unleashed the toxin that Raven and the other queens had given her throughout the competition. It made for great TV, and was arguably the most interesting reunion episode of the series.

4) She wasn't out there making excuses

Tati wasn't a master seamstress or even a fully confident performer when she was on Drag Race. Despite the fact that she was still early in her drag career, she wasn't making excuses on the runway when she got read for her outfits. That deserves some credit, considering that excuses like "I can't sew," have become commonplace on the show.

5) Her catchphrase!

Enough said. Thank yew!
