Vampire Diaries Spinoff 'Legacies' Features an Awesome Queer Character

Who is The CW's latest pansexual character?

The CW just added another queer character to their diverse LGBTQ lineup (Supergirl, Arrow, Riverdale, Black Lightning) with the introduction of Josie in tonight's episode of Legacies, their latest Vampire Diaries spin-off,

Warning! Some light spoilers ahead...

After watching the premiere at New York Comic Con, The Mary Sue reports that Legacies takes place at the Salvatore Boarding School, headmastered by the Vampire Diaries' Alaric Saltzman. In the very first episode, Saltzman's twin daughter named Josie flirts with a boy, points out a girl named Penelope as her evil ex, and even lusts after the new werewolf in town.

Guess that makes her pansexual? "Binary assumptions about sexuality are dated," the pilot states.

Legacies premieres tonight, October 25th, on The CW! Watch the trailer below!
