There's A Lot for Queer Fans to Get Excited About at This Year's Emmys

The nominations for this year's Emmy awards were just announced, and there is so much LGBT (and adjacent) content that got recognized! Let's hope some wins are in the cards for these amazing and well-deserving nominees!
The popular Netflix reboot of Bravo's original reality makeover series from the early 2000's is nominated for an Emmy in the Structured Reality Program category!
The iconic TV actress is nominated in the Leading Actress category for the titular role in BBC America's Killing Eve, a drama series about two women, an MI5 officer and the assassin she is trying to hunt down, who become obsessed with each other. Oh is also making history, since she is the first Asian actress to be nominated in the category!
The popular drag competition's 10th season got a bunch of mentions at the 2018 Emmys! Drag Race is nominated in the Reality Competition Program category, the official aftershow Untucked is nominated in the Unstructured Reality Program category, and Mama Ru herself is nominated for Best Reality Host!
The second (and as of yet, gayest) season of Ryan Murphy's FX anthology series is also getting a bunch of Emmy noms this year! Murphy is nominated in the Directing for a Limited Series category for the "The Man Who Would Be Vogue" episode, Darren Criss is nominated for Best Actor in a Limited Series or TV Movie for his role as serial killer Andrew Cunanan, Penelope Cruz and Judith Light are both nominated for the Supporting Actress in a Limited Series or TV Movie trophy, Ricky Martin, Ramirez, and Finn Wittrock are all nominated in the Supporting Actor in a Limited Series or TV Movie category, and the show itself is nominated for Best Limited Series!
With that many nominations, there's bound to be a win!
Alexis Bledel and Samira Wiley got recognized for their roles in Hulu's hit drama series The Handmaid's Tale with nominations in the Supporting Actress, Drama and Guest Actress, Drama categories respectively.
And besides those noms, The Handmaid's Tale is up for literally sooooo many other awards, like Best Drama series and a Best Lead Actress, Drama nom for Elisabeth Moss.
The legendary and longtime talk show maven is up for the Best Reality Host award at this year's Emmys, a category that includes so many other out, LGBT people like Jane Lynch, Tim Gunn, and RuPaul.
The hilarious out actor is nominated for the Best Supporting Actor, Comedy award for his role in the popular Netflix original Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt! The show is also up for Best Comedy!
