"Keep going girl, do your show."

On Sunday night's episode of Bravo's celebrity talk show Watch What Happens LiveUnbreakable Kimmy Schmidt actor and Broadway star Tituss Burgess was asked by host Andy Cohen about what it was like starring in a film alongside legendary comedian Eddie Murphy—and things got...interesting.

"He was wonderful to work with," Tituss said when asked by Andy if Murphy was cool to work with on their upcoming movie Dolemite Is My Name. "He is a brilliant man and I am so excited for all the people, younger generations who do not know Eddie Murphy, will learn why he is the legend that he is."

"Did you get to chat with him at all?" Andy then asks suddenly.

"Of course I did. Why wouldn't I?" Tituss asks, obviously confused by the question.

"I just wonder if you got close at all, because he was very problematic for the gays at one point when I was coming up," Andy says, pivoting the conversation to Murphy's past, probably referencing old stand-up sets the comedian did in the '80s where he used antigay slurs.

"Oh I see. He wasn't problematic for Tituss," he responds. "We had a wonderful time. We talked about Dreamgirls. He was great. Any troubles he may have had with gay people I guess are gone because he loved me."

"People can evolve," fellow guest and Orange Is the New Black star Laverne Cox also said.

If you thought Andy bringing up Eddie Murphy's past was a little messy, especially since (as many Twitter user point out) he hardly ever does that with problematic white celebs, you we're the only one. Tituss later took to Instagram and commented about his recent experience on WWHL.

Later in the snippet, Andy asks a visibly annoyed Tituss what's his thoughts are after the Eddie Murphy question, and not wanting to continue with the topic, he simply responds with "Keep going girl, do your show."

Word to the wise. Don't be messy around Tituss. It won't end well for you!
