Who's ready for more queens?

Brit fans and drag lovers, get your DVRs ready — we just found out when RuPaul’s Drag Race UK will officially begin.

The latest addition to the franchise will be hitting BBC Three in October. Yes gawd!

We’ve been gathering together tidbits of info about RPDR UK as they’ve trickled in, and obviously some of the most exciting info is the list of guest judges that will be joining Ru, Michelle Visage, and the alternating team of Graham Norton and Alan Carr.

Right now, we’ve got Game of Thrones star Maisie Williams, Brit-pop royalty Geri Horner and Jade Thirlwall, singer Cheryl Cole, former Spider-man himself Andrew Garfield, Chewing Gum star Michaela Coel, and the iconic Twiggy all joining the first series as guest judges.

“I just love how drag encourages people to be exactly who they are,” Geri Horner aka Ginger Spice said. “This show has brought so much joy and pride to people all over the world, I can’t wait for everyone to see the amazing queens representing the UK in this first ever series.”

While we aren’t #blessed enough to have the deets on the queens themselves just yet, it seems like they’ll be announced in September at DragCon in New York.

There’s previously been concern among drag fans in the UK that the type of drag done there is so different from what’s become mainstream in the US that it’s going to do more harm for the drag community than good. But we’re excited to find out who’s been enlisted for the first round of the show and see if things are gonna be a little different across the pond — as they should be.
