Season 4 of 'Élite' Has Officially Finished Filming!

It's been a while since the last time we've seen them, but fret not Élite stans, because the messy AF students of Las Encinas (including our fave queer couple Omander) will be back in our lives pretty soon! How, you ask? Well, the upcoming fourth season of our favorite, murderous teen drama has officially wrapped filming! 

The official Netflix Twitter account made the announcement today, while also teasing some behind-the-scenes pics of some familiar faces (Omar Ayuso, Arón Piper, Itzan Escamilla, and Miguel Bernardeau) as well as Las Encinas' newest additions, including Manu Rios, Carla Díaz, Martina Cariddi, and Pol Granch. 

The last update we heard from Élite came in the form of an Instagram announcement back in May that season four was underway, despite the ongoing global pandemic halting many TV and film productions all over the world. 

The official Élite Instagram account shared a super cute video post that featured many of the cast members from past seasons telling everyone how excited they are about the news of the show's triumphant return for a fourth round. It was previously reported that the Spanish series was going to take a page out of the playbooks of other notable teen dramas like Skins and completely refresh the entire cast, so it's good to see many familiar faces...but that doesn't mean there won't be any major cast changes!

Unfortunately, we won't be seeing Mina El Hammani (Nadia), Danna Paola Lucrecia (Lu), Ester Expósito (Carla), Álvaro Rico (Polo), and Jorge López's (Valerio) beautiful faces in future Élite episodes any time soon, but this shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone who is already all caught up with the show's first three seasons. All of the aforementioned characters and their arcs were pretty much wrapped up and completed by the end of season three — but it's still sad to see!

Still, we can't wait for what kinds of chaos and drama the new season four has in store for us, and although no official release date for Élite has been made just yet, trust us when we say we're excited AF for the day when it finally drops!
