Great British Bake Off

This one goes out to all the soggy bottoms out there.

The Great British Bake Off is quite possibly one of the most wholesome things ever created, and that’s why it's so much fun when its hosts get a little cheeky on camera. Be it Mary Berry’s unintentional anti-soggy-bottom innuendo, or Prue Leith giggling over Paul Hollywood’s tight bread balls, the hosts’ occasional naughty jokes are the perfect tension breakers amid all the sponge-based drama. And let's never forget the Freddy Mercury cake incident

It should come as no surprise, then, that when the show’s official Twitter account recently dropped a few cheeky gay sex jokes, the show’s fans both got it and loved it.

The post in question features a close-up shot of a contestant working on a challenge with the caption: “Is the top straight?” while the caption read “Unlikely.”

“I can't believe this is the real GBBO account,” wrote one surprised fan, to which the GBBO account replied, “There's an innuendo in this tweet? We'll have to get to the bottom of this.”

Another fan liked the tweet and wrote, “Whoever runs your socials deserves a raise for this one”. The account agreed and topped things off with one last innuendo. “Why thank you!” they replied. “Yes, all the socials. Versatility is everything.”

The whole exchange had fans cackling and expressing their appreciation.

Well played, GBBO. Well played.
