Raunchy Song About Gay Cowboys Used to Troll Anti-Vaxxer Protests
Welcome to the #RamRanchResistance.
A metal song about gay cowboys desperate for dick has become an unlikely anthem of those opposed to the anti-vaccine, anti-lockdown protests in Ottawa.
The Canadian capital has been subjected to the so-called “Freedom Convoy” for over two weeks now, as protestors against science have overrun the city, disrupting the lives of locals and having zero concern for potentially spreading COVID throughout the city.
Rolling Stone ran a piece last week detailing how “Ram Ranch,” a “porno-metal” song from Grant MacDonald, has become the song of choice to disrupt and derail protest plans in Zello chats used among the trucker convoy during this time.
The song, which includes lyrics about men in shower stalls at the titular Ram Ranch “on their knees wanting to suck cowboy cocks,” has probably only annoyed organizers a fraction of the amount that their unwanted presence has annoyed and frustrated Ottawa locals, but it’s still doing the trick.
“It’s a deeply conservative belief system infiltrating our city,” a PhD student named Katrina told Rolling Stone. “And when we played this song to jam their communication, they’d get angry because it’s an explicit and LGBTQ-friendly song.”
It’s also spawned a hashtag for counter-protestors to do their own organizing and keep residents informed about the trucker convoy’s plans — #RamRanchResistance.

“Ram Ranch” itself went viral several years back for the absurd intensity of its lyrics, which MacDonald, who is himself Canadian, said were a response to having his LGBTQ+ country songs rejected by Nashville radio.
And he approves of this new usage wholeheartedly.
“I’m just elated, totally elated that my song could be used to stand up for science,” he said.
MacDonald has released 541 versions of “Ram Ranch” over the years, meaning there are plenty of options for the leftists trolling Ottawa protestors to choose from until they finally go ahead and leave the city alone.
