'Glee's' Santana and Mercedes Do Adele: Brittana Does Longing Sapphic Looks VIDEO

'Glee's' Santana and Mercedes Do Adele: Brittana Does Longing Sapphic Looks VIDEO

Look out New Directions. The Troubletones are taking on an Adele mash-up, and Mercedes (Amber Riley) and Santana (Naya Rivera) are absolutely killing on the vocals! Beyond the killer vocals there definitely appears to be some electric on-stage Sapphic energy going on between Santana and Brittany, although if it’s about love or a lover’s quarrel is anybody’s guess from the clip.

Look out New Directions. The Troubletones are taking on an Adele mash-up, and Mercedes (Amber Riley) and Santana (Naya Rivera) absolutely kill on the vocals coming up on Glee!

While there will always be a place in my heart for New Directions and the vocal stylings of Rachel Berry (Lea Michele) the vocal pairing of big-piped divas Mercedes and Santana under glee club director Shelby’s (Idina Menzel) tutelage is truly an estrogen-fueled blow to Mr. Schue’s (Matthew Morrison) Glee Club.

On the upcoming episode of Glee the Troubletones take on Adele with a mash-up of “Someone Like You” and the yet-to-be-released “Rumour Has It” with Mercedes and Santana sharing lead.

Beyond the killer vocals there definitely appears to be some on-stage Sapphic energy crackling between Santana and Brittany, but judging from the songs' lyrics there appears to be some trouble television's newest girl / girl couple.

Still, the upcoming episode promises to be Brittana heavy, and that’s always a good thing. And have fatith that all will be well. They are each other's unicorns after all.

Here’s the mash-up.
