'Rizzoli and Isles' Returns for Winter with More Lesbian Subtext!

It’s a big night for dyed-in-the-wool Rizzoli and Isles fans since the procedural that teems with lesbian subtext is back for a five-episode winter season beginning tonight on TNT. Just when it appeared that police procedurals were getting further and further away from the appeal of something akin to an Olivia Benson / Alex Cabot match-up, along came Det. Jane Rizzoli (Angie Harmon) and Dr. Maura Isles (Sasha Alexander) in the summer of 2010 to turn up the Sapphic subtext.
