Pariah's Dee Rees, Adepero Oduye and Kim Wayans on No More Down Low TV: Video

Pariah’s out director Dee Rees and star Adepero Oduye were treated to some of the best press ever when Golden Globe winner for The Iron Lady, Meryl Streep, gave Pariah and it’s leading lady a shout out in her acceptance speech. Rees, Oduye and Kim Wayans, who plays the mom struggling with her daughter Alike’s coming out in the film, recently chatted with No More Down Low TV’s Janora McDuffie. Some of you may recognize McDuffie from her recurring role on Grey’s Anatomy as the social worker handling Meredith and Derek’s adoption case.

That moment has not gone unnoticed and now the film, about a 17-year-old Brooklyn girl coming out in a homophobic household, is getting more and more recognition and even a bit of Oscar buzz!

Rees, Oduye and Kim Wayans, who plays the mom struggling with her daughter Alike’s coming out in the film, recently chatted with No More Down Low TV’s Janora McDuffie. Some of you may recognize McDuffie from her recurring role on Grey’s Anatomy as the social worker handling Meredith and Derek’s adoption case.
