Nicki Minaj and Ricky Martin Talk About Their HIV Advocacy on Good Morning America

Nicki Minaj says she was blown away by Ricky Martin's humility and the two discuss the personal reasons they became involved with MAC cosmetics' latest Viva Glam campaign, during an interview with Good Morning America.

The two entertainers teamed up with MAC to promote new products —"Ricky Martin's lip conditioner" and "Nick Minaj's scene-stealing pink lipstick." 100% of the proceeds go to HIV/AIDS awareness in Latin America. "We're here because we want to make a difference," says Martin, who established The Ricky Martin Foundation to help end human trafficking. "Unfortunately, kids are being infected with HIV/AIDS."

Minaj mentions that the project is important to her because her uncle died of AIDS in Trinidad. "When Mac reached out we spoke about us going to the Caribbean islands and raising awareness there," she says. "It's important for people from the islands to realize it's not something that should only be discussed in America."
