'GCB' Season 1 Available on DVD June 12

The first season of ABC’s new hit series GCB comes out on DVD June 12! The series, based on the “semi-autobiographical” novel Good Christian Bitches by Kim Gatlin, revolves around original mean girl Amanda Vaughn’s (Leslie Bibb) return to her affluent Dallas neighborhood after 20 years, and her attempts to patch things up with the women she tormented in high school.

Amanda, trying to start life anew in her mother Gigi’s (Annie Potts) Texas-sized mansion, must face the sins of her past while mourning the loss of her very rich husband Bill (who was busted in a Ponzi scheme just before dying scandalously in a car accident with his mistress).

The women that now-reformed Amanda must deal with haven’t stopped hating her since high school: Carlene Cockburn (Kristin Chenoweth), the new “Queen Bitch;” Sharon Peacham (Jennifer Aspen), the insecure one who does Carlene’s bidding; Cricket Caruth-Reilly (Miriam Shor), a glamorous business mogul whose husband is gay; and Heather Cruz (Marisol Nichols), a powerful real estate agent.

GCB is a hilarious and fun look into the lives of the elitist social structure of wealthy Dallas women and their families.

The GCB Season 1 DVD set comes with plenty of extras:

Bigger in Texas: Costume designer Robert Blackman describes each of the GCB’s Dallas style with a show-and-tell that highlights each character’s unique look.

Living Large: Annie Potts and Jennifer Aspen take viewers along for an exclusive tour of the world of GCB, showcasing how the Texas spirit is vividly brought to the screen each week with detailed authenticity.

Preaching to the Choir: A conversation with Kristin Chenoweth, Miriam Shore and the rest of the cast as they sing and share insight as to why music is so important to the series.

GCB: Most Likely To...: From “Best Dressed,” to “Class Clown,” fans will see what the cast really thinks of one another.

Audio Commentaries: Leslie Bibb, Mark Deklin and Brad Beyer join producers Bobby Harling, Gretchen Berg and Aaron Herberts as they offer unique insight.

And of course plenty of deleted scenes and bloopers. GCB Season 1 will be available on DVD June 12, 2012.
