One of two out The Voice’s contestants, Karina Iglesias, took to the stage for the do-or-die Battle Rounds Monday. While Karina’s coach Adam Levine faced her off with Judith Hill -- a pro who sang with Michael Jackson and arguably this season’s biggest voice—Karina met the challenge, and she and Judith delivered what Adam called the “best Battle Round” ever on the show singing "It's a Man's Man's Man's World.”
Left with a very difficult decision Adam was forced to choose to keep Judith and Karina and he picked Judith. But that is okay, because Shakira saw an opportunity and “stole” Karina. Now Karina is Team Shakira (a great place to be)! And she could not have appeared happier about it after Shakira picked her (although video below cuts off before that).

During the blind auditions Karina blew the doors off of the voice studio with an incendiary rendition of Melissa Etheridge’s “I’m the Only One,” inspiring Adam and Blake Shelton to swivel their seats for her. In the end she chose Adam. Following Monday’s performance Shakira apologized to Karina for not turning her chair during the blinds.
A music teacher from Miami, whose wife and “abuelita” were there to cheer her on, we can’t wait to see Karina working side-by-side with Shakira on the upcoming Knock Out Rounds.
Here is Karina and Judith’s epic battle!
