She’s all over Twitter and featured heavily in a brand new (cute as buttons) Mariah Carey music video for “Up Out of My Face.” Are you familiar with the Young Money bisexual rap star who calls herself the black Barbie and is known for her hardcore lyrics about sex and female empowerment?
The one-woman act is garnering a lot of attention lately. The purportedly bisexual singer dominates her half-million plus Twitter followers, who often land #BecauseOfNickiMinaj on the top trending list. Even decidedly less hardcore fans get into the mix, as was the case when Dawson’s Creek alum James Van Der Beek got in on the trend,tweeting a video of his Mercy costar Michelle Trachtenberg (Buffy The Vampire Slayer) getting into the Minaj spirtit:
The 25 year old, Queens New York raised beauty also guest stars in Mariah Carey’s latest video “Up Out of My Face” where the two women burst out of their doll boxes to go a little wild. "When I met her, she was so funny and silly," Minaj tells MTV of working with musical icon Carey. "I thought when I was gonna work with Mariah, [she] was gonna be like this diva. But we were cracking jokes the whole day. She's a sweet, down-to-earth person."
