Hanson is taking an activist stand after the recent news of numerous youth suicides involving bullying or harassment and is, once again, turning her legendary Sunday Pool Party into a “party with a cause” that will turn up the volume on Love Is Louder’s messages of hope and support for anyone feeling mistreated, misunderstood or alone.

Sunday, April 3 the Love is Louder campaign takes it on the road to the Riviera Hotel for The Dinah’s “Love is Louder Pool Party." The Love is Louder Sunday Dinah Pool Party will offer an opportunity for Dinah-goers to join the movement by taking individual pictures with the #loveislouder slogan written on their hand. It will also provide information on how to get involved online and provide resources for speaking up for yourself or someone you care about.

“The Dinah is not just a party. I like to think it’s also a subtle platform for the kind of activism that encourages people to act in ways that make a difference on issues that not only affect our community but the world,” says Hanson. “You have to stand up to stand out. We strongly believe in the message behind Love Is Louder campaign. Bullying is an epidemic that doesn’t just discriminate based on your sexual orientation; it affects all kids who may feel different or isolated, and in a word, it needs to stop.”

The Love Is Louder campaign was started by actress Brittany Snow, The Jed Foundation and MTV to build on the outpouring of support online after the lives of multiple teenagers were lost to suicide in September 2010. The movement strives to invite anyone who has felt mistreated, misunderstood or isolated into the conversation spreading the critical message -- that love and support is more powerful than the external and internal voices that bring us down, cause us pain and make us feel hopeless.

Celebrities from all corners of the entertainment spectrum have also joined the Love Is Louder movement including Pink, Lance Bass, Vanessa Hudgens, Perez Hilton, Deepak Chopra, Stephen Baldwin, Ashley Greene, Snooki, Nikki Blonsky, Hayley Hasselhoff and Jai Rodriguez, to name a few.

Get involved before April 3rd by logging on to Facebook and Twitter and uploading a #loveislouder photo to the movement’s Facebook page, or uploading a brief video (30 seconds or less) on the MTV website – telling the world what you believe love is louder than.
