Jane Lynch is changing Wednesday nights. Her non-PC coach Sue Sylvester on Fox's Glee is making Wednesday appointment viewing - read, watching live and forgoing the DVR.
Come January, Wednesday night will become the gayest night on primetime as Fox announced that it will be pairing Glee with its reality juggernaut American Idol.
When Glee returns from its midseason finale - the Dec. 9 episode Sectionals will be its last episode of the year - the musical dramedy will be paired with Idol in January on Wednesday nights, according to the TV Addict .
With Ellen DeGeneres joining the judges' panel on Idol, and Lynch collecting fans by the minute for her insane cheer coach on Glee, the teaming is sure to create a ratings one-two punch that will be anchored by two openly gay women. Plus Ryan Seacrest.
Add to that Glee's plans for an all-Madonna episode, well, it's pretty gay.
