Rumors of a lesbian storyline on Heroes have been floating around for the past few seasons. Unfortunately, until now that’s all they’ve been – rumors. Happily though, the new Redemption trailer from season 4 of the show debuted at Comic-Con reveals that superhero Claire will finally be getting that lesbian lover we’ve all been waiting so impatiently for.
It was only a brief moment in the trailer at Comic-Con. But if you look very closely, you’ll find cheerleader Claire (Hayden Panettiere) getting it on with new lesbian love interest Gretchen (Madeline Zima). In a rather stereotypical storyline, Gretchen is – of course – Claire’s college roommate in season 4.
Sadly, and ridiculously, NBC nixed the lesbian kiss between Hayden Panettier and Madeline Zima in the official release of the trailer. We just hope this doesn’t mean they’ll end up having a change of heart and ditching the entire same-sex love storyline for Claire.
