Who knew Salma Hayek was so terrified of snakes? The Oscar-nominated actress, who's taken on bad-ass roles in Desperado and From Dusk till Dawn, jumped up on to a chair and clung to her Grown Ups costar Maya Rudolph like a fifties' sitcom housewife who's just seen a mouse, when a snake slithered on to the set of an interview they were giving for the film.
Salma, Maya and costar Maria Bello were promoting Grown Ups, a sort of Big Chill for the fat, shlubby, man-child generation, which pairs those three hot-asses with Adam Sandler, Kevin James and Chris Rock (he's not bad), when the interloper scared the crap out of Salma. The strong, confident Frida and Ugly Betty producer, who nearly impaled Maya with her stiletto as she climbed up and clung to her, appears to have an extreme case of ophidiophobia-or maybe she just needed an excuse to cling to Maya! Somebody get Salma a Betty Draper fainting couch STAT!
But Maria didn't fair much better. Salma's terror was catchy and Maria got in the act, clinging to Salma who was clinging to Maya. Who figured Maya was the big butch in that trio?
Here's a pointless and silly video for the end of your Wednesday.
