Hot on the heels of True Blood casting the vampire king of Mississippi's boyfriend, the HBO vampire drama is upping its lesbian factor by promoting Kristin Bauer to series regular.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Eric's (Alexander Skarsgard) henchwoman Pam will be a regular force in the upcoming third season, which began production this month in Los Angeles.
After appearing in 11 episodes during the first two seasons of the Alan Ball-penned hit drama, Bauer's Pam will bring her "lesbian vibe" to Bon Temps come June when the series returns.
If Bauer's Pam does indeed have a lesbian story line, she'll join Evan Rachel Wood's lesbian vampire queen Sophie Anne as same-sex sisters on True Blood.
Sophie Anne already has her fangs in Sookie's (Anna Paquin) cousin, Hadley (Lindsey Haun) and seems very interested in understanding why both Bill (Stephen Moyer) and Eric are both in love/lust with Sookie.

Wood told SheWired in September after the Season 2 finale that she could see Sophie Anne falling for Sookie.
"I think she could, yeah, absolutely! I'm pretty sure she is one of the only characters on the show who actually knows what Sookie is," she said.
Could Pam be heading the same route? Pam's scenes in Seasons 1 and 2 depict her as a ruthless anti-human vampire whose thirst for blood can only be controlled by Eric.
Bauer told SheWired last month that she picked up on the lesbian vibe during her first scenes filming True Blood.
"There was some line about how sweet it is looking at Sookie," Bauer said. "I didn't think anything of it; I thought, 'Oh, that's who she is.' Then a few episodes later there was a scene with Sookie in the bathroom where she pulls a piece of vampire Longshadow out of her cleavage and comes really close and says, 'I'm beginning to see what all the fuss is about you.' I thought, 'Oh yeah, she really likes Sookie.' I didn't think anything of it. So it makes sense to me; it was in the writing, and it makes sense to me for Pam."
One thing is certain: The HBO show is going way gay in Season 3 and who can complain about that?
