Sade's Transgender Son Thanks Mom for Support During Transition

"It’s been a long hard road but We did it!!" wrote Izaak Theo Adu.

The son of legendary soul-singer Sade and producer Bob Morgan took to Instagram to thank his mother for standing by him during his transition.

"It’s been a long hard road but We did it!!" wrote Izaak Theo Adu.

Adu shared the adorable photo of him hugging his mom on Instagram yesterday, thanking her for all of her support during his transition. According to Out, Adu got home yesterday after six months of recovery from bottom surgery.

"Thank you for staying by my side these past 6 months Mumma," he wrote. "Thank you for fighting with me to complete the man I am. Thank you for your encouragement when things are hard, for the love you give me. The purest heart. I love you so much. Queen of queens."

I'm not crying, you are!

Adu came out as trans on National Coming Out Day in 2016, and clearly Sade has been openly supportive since.

We're so proud to see it. *wipes tear*
