'CMBYN' Star Armie Hammer Denies Wild Claims That He's a Cannibal

This story just keeps getting crazier and crazier and crazier...

In today's "WTF?!?" news, 34-year-old actor andCall Me by Your Name star Armie Hammer is denying claims that have been circulating online saying that he is a cannibal. Yes. You (unfortunately) read that right. A cannibal.

If you're not quite sure what's going on (we're still not entirely sure either), over the weekend, a woman running the @houseofeffie Instagram account shared what allegedly appears to be very sexually explicit text messages and DMs from Armie. As Cosmo UK points out, many of the messages that were allegedly sent by Armie detail some violent sexual fantasies that involve blood and gore, including "I am 100% a cannibal" and "I need your blood, I crave it."

Of course, once the news of these leaked messages hit the internet, the rumors of Armie possibly being a cannibal went viral and the story completely took on a life of its own. The subsequent tweet and memes got so wild, in fact, that the Rebecca actor broke his silence and is now apparently dropping out of a role opposite Hustlers star and pop icon Jennifer Lopez in the upcoming rom-com adventure flick Shotgun Wedding, according to a report by Variety

"I’m not responding to these bullshit claims but in light of the vicious and spurious online attacks against me, I cannot in good conscience now leave my children for 4 months to shoot a film in the Dominican Republic," Armie said in a statement to Variety. "Lionsgate is supporting me in this and I’m grateful to them for that."

Welp...2021 is sure off to a wild, wild, WILD start, huh??
