Britney Spears Confessed She Has The Most Purrfect Girl Crush

Well, the cat is officially out of the bag, Britney Spears has a girl crush, and honestly, same.

The “Gimme More” singer opened up on Instagram about just how much she appreciates Michelle Pfeiffer’s turn as Catwoman in Tim Burton’s Batman Returns.

Spears posted a video of Pfeiffer transforming from meek and mild Selina Kyle into the feline-inspired antihero Catwoman. “I feel like she’s the most charming, sexy, and alluring woman,” wrote Spears. “This scene is probably the hottest scene I’ve ever seen in my life!!! Of course, @michellepfeifferofficial whom I’ve never met is the character [cat emoji]. She is sick in this movie in the most conventional way possible!!!”

Spoilers for Batman Returns — but hey, it’s been 30 years: In the scene Spears was so moved by, Kyle has reached a boiling point. As if being alternately dismissed and sexually harassed at work wasn’t bad enough, she also barely survived an attempted murder. Think 9 to 5 but with more latex and claws. It’s a narrative that struck a chord with the “Toxic” singer.

“The disaster she exposes before the gates of hell are revealed in anticipation and biting down at its best she gives hell a whole new meaning … I respect that … There’s been a lot of remakes since then, well damn tons, but honestly I don’t think anyone can come even close to that scene alone !!!” she wrote.

Spears closed out her post with a humble shout-out to Pfeiffer, letting her know how much she means to her. “I know she has no idea who I am, but I just want to let her know a silly girl from the South has always thought she was a freaking God and I have so much respect for her it’s kind of insane !!! Thank you for doing your craft in such a beautiful way… one and only Pfeiffer!!!” she concluded.

No surprise, Pfeiffer was familiar with Spears and returned the compliment. “Wow, Britney! Thank you for the beautiful compliment – I’m a huge fan,” she wrote.
