Randy Rainbow 'Interviews' Jennifer Holliday About Trump's Inauguration
And she's telling you she's not going.
While the reality of a Donald Trump presidency is getting many people of marginalized identities down, gay YouTube comedian Randy Rainbow is trying to lighten the mood with his humor in a recent (and fake) "interview" with Tony Award-winning Broadway legend Jennifer Holliday.
After receiving backlash from people in the African-American and LGBT communities, the Dream Girls star canceled her scheduled performance at Donald Trump's Presidential inauguration that is set to take place this Friday. And Randy Rainbow, who is using his trademark style of splicing real-life clips of celebrities next to his own, at-home recordings, is there to ask the theater singer why she's backing out, and why she initially accepted the gig in the first place.
The results, which include Randy showing off his own vocals in the style of Holliday's iconic "And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going," were (as expected) very funny.
Watch Randy's hilarious faux-interview with Jennifer Holliday in the video below.
