Actor Supriya Ganesh, who plays Dr. Samira Mohan on the hit HBO Max series The Pitt, has discussed her coming-out journey and her adoption of she/they pronouns in a new interview.
When asked about disclosing she/they pronouns on social media, Ganesh told Variety that this process is "absolutely a relationship with my own queerness as well as race."
Despite being born in the U.S., the actor was three years old when they moved to India along with her parents and family. The actor added, "Coming [back] to America, I was very shocked by how restrictive the gender roles are, because in India you have the existence of a third gender."
Though Ganesh acknowledged that they present femme, "There are a couple of times where I'm existing outside of that, and I don't always totally feel like I'm fitting into what I think is a very white-conceived perception of femininity."
The actor added, "I also want queer brown women to look at me and know that that's someone they can turn to and relate to."
Ganesh also explained that she was inspired by Lily Gladstone upon disclosing this part of their personal life. "Even though I feel like I identify a lot more with femininity, that doesn't mean I always fit into what is a very Western idea of it. So I think that was why I made that decision."

Although his coming out was extremely difficult, Haynes is so grateful that his story has resonated with fans all over the world who have found the courage to come out of the closet themselves.
"I'm just happy people don't think I'm dead! Things were a little stressful for me for a bit. When I started to step into my true self, things started feeling a little better," Haynes tells PRIDE.
Many people have even said Haynes served as their gay awakening as they watched him on Teen Wolf and Arrow while figuring out their own queerness at a young age.
"I had to navigate some stuff and now I'm on the other side of it! I'm just happy people are showing me love and hopefully, I continue to do that."
Even before he came out back in 2018 while starring in Love, Simon, Joey Pollari has brought queer representation to the big and small screens with a slew of notable roles over the years.
Pollari's latest project is no exception as he stars in the adorable LGBTQ+ rom-com Things Like This, where his character Zack deals with crippling anxiety as his life starts falling apart once he reunites with his middle school crush.
"I thought the opportunity would be really fun! Playing this role was a blast because of that level of fear and anxiety eating at him nonstop. [The] hope is that someone will have some kind of recognition that's helping them along," Pollari tells PRIDE.
Pollari is beyond grateful that his dynamic gay roles have opened minds and started conversations for many people struggling with their sexuality.
"What I like about all of the stories that I've portrayed is that, although they're pushed a gay agenda, they've ultimately gone past that at some point. I played those characters where they had so much struggle about their identity. You're just trying to portray the emotion of shame, anxiety, chaos, and self-sabotage."
Besides the very challenging aspects of coming out, Pollari loves showcasing queer joy on and off screen. Since Things Like This depicts a beautiful gay love story, the star dished on what his ideal first date looks like.
"I'm actually really simple! I don't like an activity for a first date. I do not want to go bowling or on a hike. My perfect date is you and I sitting down. We have a drink, we have a meal, and we actually get to just talk to one another. That's just me!"

The Pitch Perfect star didn’t just confirm she’s dating stylist Jade Whipkey—she did it with poetry, vintage aesthetics, and the kind of casual queerness that makes you wish every celeb debut had a touch of sapphic fairy tale.
While whispers about the two have been circulating for months, Camp put speculation to rest by reposting a romantic snapshot from Whipkey on her Instagram Story earlier this week.
“Her smile is a poem, her eyes are roses, her laugh is music for dancing,” Whipkey wrote. When Camp reposted with a flaming heart emoji, it sealed the vibe with minimal words and maximum intention.

Whipkey is an L.A.-based stylist and writer who’s worked with names like Keke Palmer, Coco Jones, and Lena Waithe. According to her LinkedIn, she studied at Cal State Northridge and now works with the creative agency All Worthy People. She regularly shares snippets of her globe-trotting lifestyle and styling gigs on Instagram.
Though she’s stayed largely behind the scenes until now, her presence in Camp’s life has been quietly growing since at least early 2025.

As to how this relationship made its way into the public eye, look no further than TikTok. Back in February, Camp and Whipkey appeared in a lighthearted interview where they answered questions about dating.
In the clip, Camp described one of her worst dates with a man who told her she was “prettier in a movie than in person” after being 45 minutes late. Her response? A hard pass. “OK, bye!” she laughed.

Later in the video, Camp said, “I don’t expect anything [from guys] anymore because I’m dating a woman, and it’s great.” She then smiled and leaned toward Whipkey, who responded with a proud “Same, same.”

Since then, the two have been slowly (but very deliberately) showing up on each other’s feeds. In March, Camp posted a carousel of candid photos captioned “Happiness lately happening 💫🌵,” including a snap of Whipkey sipping wine in a sun-drenched booth.
At the start of May, Camp posted another picture of Whipkey on her story with a simple caption: “Date Night” and two red rose emojis.

But the most recent Instagram Story on May 12, when Whipkey posted the now-viral “poem/roses/music” caption, solidified people’s curiosity. When Camp shared the story, tagged Whipkey, and added a burning heart, it definitely read as “meet my girlfriend.”
The night before, actress Gigi Zumbado posted group photos including Camp, Whipkey, and fellow Pitch Perfect star Rebel Wilson attending the Renaissance Faire together.
Before this new chapter, Camp had a fairly public heterosexual dating history. She was married to Scrubs actor Michael Mosley from 2010 to 2013, then wed her Pitch Perfect co-star Skylar Astin in 2016. The couple divorced in 2019 after just under three years of marriage.
In the months following her split from Astin, Camp spoke openly about the upheaval and growth that came with it. “It’s been really scary and liberating at the same time,” she said at the 2019 TCA Summer Press Tour. “I feel more me than I ever, ever have.”
