December marks 24 years since The Fellowship of the Ring first hit theaters and turned the cast of The Lord of the Rings into instant fantasy heartthrobs.

Among the most iconic were Orlando Bloom (Legolas), Dominic Monaghan (Merry), and Billy Boyd (Pippin). Each was a heartthrob in their own right. Bloom had his bow and flowing blond hair, while Monaghan and Boyd were the pint-sized twink chaos agents we wanted to protect and corrupt.

Over the weekend, Monaghan posted a throwback pic of the three of them captioned, “Longgggg nighttssss in sydneyyyy with the boys. So tired we missed the first act of Madame butterfly at the Sydney opera house. Shameful.”

While the caption was cute in its own right, the pic of the three of them lying shirtless in bed together, with Monaghan sandwiched between Bloom and Boyd, has some people saying Legolas took the hobbits to Isenhard.

We can’t say we disagree.

In the comments, the gays, as usual, united and sounded off.

Some people wrote in about fantasies they’d had like this before.

Others wondered why this scene hadn’t been included in the extended edition of the films.

Some asked questions we all have, like who’s the bottom.

While others noted the pic made first, second, and third breakfast look good.

As usual, meme warriors came through with screenshots from the film, like this one of Frodo drooling:

Or this one of Merry smoking:

Some made jokes about jealousy from the other actors and hobbits:

And others reminded us that whatever happens in Lothlorien stays there:

All we know is, we are here for the 18 and over edition of Lord of the Rings, and we’re definitely willing to pay the premium cost.

If, for some reason, you have yet to see the masterpiece that is The Lord of the Rings, you can stream all the movies (theatrical and extended) on HBO Max.
