AMC’s Interview With the Vampire TV show is based on the universe created by Anne Rice with the series of novels known as The Vampire Chronicles. In 1994, a live-action film adaptation of Interview With the Vampire hit the theaters with Tom Cruise playing Lestat de Lioncourt and Brad Pitt playing Louis de Pointe du Lac. Now, a TV version has come to AMC with actors Sam Reid as Lestat and Jacob Anderson as Louis.
Anderson has been known for playing Grey Worm on Game of Thrones, Inston Vee Vinder on Doctor Who, Steven Coombs on The Mimic, and Charlie Dawson in Overlord. Over the years, he has established himself as a very talented actor and a true Hollywood hunk. Meanwhile, Reid’s acting credits include Dale Jennings on The Newsreader, Ignatius on Lambs of God, John Davinier in Belle, and Earl of Essex in Anonymous.
As the story of Interview With the Vampire goes, Louis meets Lestat and finds it impossible to resist him. Even though there were always queer undertones to their relationship in the novel and in past adaptations, this AMC series marks the first time where these characters are fully being displayed as having a queer relationship.
