Tomboy Fashion: An Aussie Brand You Should Know

Tomboy Fashion: An Aussie Brand You Should Know

Tomboy Fashion: An Aussie Brand You Should Know

The Aussies have got it going on. Here's one clothing line that will have you styling like you're from down under.

Hey Sheilas and Sheilas who get mistaken for Blokes in women’s restrooms (it’s not us, it's them — TRUST ME):

I am absolutely salivating over what Australia is doing for the Tomboy right now and want to slowly turn you on to bigger productions as well as smaller boutiques that we can only hope to be inspired by (lest we pay the hefty shipping and handling fees). I do believe there is a consensus that Australia is pretty sexy, so if we can’t have the Aussie accent, we can sure have the fashccent (accent + fashion = fashccent, hayyy).

First up for today is Zanerobe, which is described as “progressive streetwear.” I don’t know about you, but that is absolutely code for “get on my body.” I found Zanerobe when it was listed on Complex  magazine’s “10 Brands that are About to Blow Up.” It was right around the time I was looking for the “10 Comics That Are About To Blow Up” list that I was not on. Here is a look book shot of the sexy.

Zanerobe has since made its way to the states and is available in outlets like Nordstrom, and in Urban Outfitters, and my closet. If you live in Los Angeles, their design office is in the Fashion District and they put up sample sales every so often so you can get yourself pairs for cheap. Find them on FB and follow!

Let’s talk about their signature pant, The Slingshot.

I have a few pairs of these and I recommend getting a few pairs at a staple. They come in all sorts of colors and patterns. The slight drop crotch allows the tomboy in you the freedom to take long and sexy strides past any resentment and disappointment you may be feeling in your life and right into rockin’ your favorite Hug a Homo Happy Hour location. It also provides narrow enough pant to not hide what you’re working with. Cuffs at the bottom complete the look and tucks nicely into chucks or boots.

And just a heads up: Some of their pants are elastic around the waist, a trend that we are seeing right now so don’t freak out totally. Elastic waist just means you can freely gain weight and lose weight and take your girl to the buffet or whatever – which you can deny happens all you want, I’m not judging you but I’m just sayin’ – flexibility, comfort and sexiness! “Progressive streetwear,” The entire line is worth checking out.

Visit Zanerobe.com to freely peruse their tomboy offerings. G’day!
