28 LGBTQ+ Movies & TV Shows Coming In June 2023

Pride Month has arrived and with it a bevy of new queer films and TV series to binge between parades, parties, or however you prefer to celebrate our time of year.
If like me that also definitely involves kicking back with a new gay must-watch, well, good news because from teen thrillers to romantic epics, to an animated classic in the making, this June is bringing queer entertainment. And we love to see it!
Here are the queer and queer-inclusive television and movies you don’t want to miss this June.

iCarly, Season 3 - June 1
A former teen internet sensation and her friends navigate the challenges of adulthood. Sometimes they get it right and sometimes things get kinda wacky.

Love Allways - June 2
As she narrows down her pool of contestants of all genders, some start falling for one another, causing a spiral of drama, betrayal, passion, and jealousy. Throughout the process, Lexi is assisted by two professional relationship gurus, Spicy Mari and Anthony Recenello, who also serve as mentors to their teams of potential suitors. Not only are the daters competing for a chance at love, but the relationship gurus are also going toe-to-toe to see whose protégé gets chosen.

The Neighbor - June 2
An intense love story between two young men forms from a harrowing incident they are involved in. From that moment on nothing will be like it used to be and the love between the two men sadly brings to light Luca’s parents’ hate and intolerance towards their relationship.

Queen of the Universe, Season 2 - June 2
Queen of the Universe brings drag queens from across the globe to battle it out in a live singing competition for the ages.

Valeria, Season 3 - June 2
New love triangles. New life stages. Birthdays welcoming a new decade. The same four friends to navigate through it all together.

With Love, Season 2 - June 2
With Love is a romantic dramedy centered around siblings Lily and Jorge Diaz as they navigate big life changes and rely on their equally big family to get them through. From weddings and new loves to heartbreak and good old-fashioned family drama, season two shows Lily and Jorge grow like we’ve never seen them before.

The Idol - June 4
After a nervous breakdown derailed Jocelyn’s (Lily-Rose Depp) last tour, she’s determined to claim her rightful status as the greatest and sexiest pop star in America. Her passions are reignited by Tedros (Abel “The Weeknd” Tesfaye), a nightclub impresario with a sordid past. Will her romantic awakening take her to glorious new heights or the deepest and darkest depths of her soul?

Cruel Summer, Season 2 - June 5
Set in an idyllic waterfront town in the Pacific Northwest, the next chapter of “Cruel Summer” follows the rise and fall of an intense teenage friendship. Approaching the story from three different timelines surrounding Y2K, the season twists and turns as it tracks the early friendship between Megan, Isabella and Megan’s best friend Luke, the love triangle that blossomed, and the mystery that would impact all of their lives going forward.

Never Have I Ever, Final Season - June 8
Never Have I Ever is a coming-of-age comedy about the complicated life of a modern-day first-generation Indian American teenage girl. The series stars Maitreyi Ramakrishnan as Devi, an overachieving high school student who has a short fuse that gets her into difficult situations.

Blue Jean - June 9
In Georgia Oakley’s stunning directorial debut Blue Jean, it’s 1988 England and Margaret Thatcher’s Conservative government is about to pass a law stigmatizing gays and lesbians, forcing Jean (Rosy McEwen, in a powerhouse performance), a gym teacher, to live a double life. As pressure mounts from all sides, the arrival of a new student catalyzes a crisis that will challenge Jean to her core. The BAFTA-nominated film won the Venice Film Festival’s People’s Choice Award, as well as four British Independent Film Awards.

The Crowded Room - June 9
The Crowded Room is a gripping, 10-episode limited series that stars Holland as Danny Sullivan, a man who is arrested following his involvement in a shooting in New York City in 1979. A captivating thriller told through a series of interviews with curious interrogator Rya Goodwin (Amanda Seyfried), Danny’s life story unfolds, revealing elements of the mysterious past that shaped him, and the twists and turns that will lead him to a life-altering revelation.

Human Resources, Final Season - June 9
From the inventive minds that brought us the award-winning adult animation favorite Big Mouth comes the even edgier and adult-ier Human Resources. The spin-off pulls back the curtain on the daily lives of the creatures - Hormone Monsters, Depression Kitties, Shame Wizards and many more - that help humans journey through every aspect of life from puberty to parenthood to the twilight years. It quickly becomes clear that though the protagonists are creatures, they have a lot of humanity themselves.

The Lake, Season 2 - June 9
In Season Two, Justin and Riley (Travis Nelson), decide to make their relationship official. But their plans, along with the beloved boathouse, go up in flames. Carrying equal parts shame and blame, Justin sets out to prove his innocence, rebuild the heart of the lake, and win back the man he loves. Meanwhile, Maisy-May is dealing with a wildfire of her own: The return of her mother Mimsy, who claims she’s dying and wants to spend her final summer with her family on the lake. Billie returns for what is meant to be a one-week vacation. Her holiday changes after a gorgeous tree planter, Forrest (Jhaleil Swaby), and a fierce climate activist, Ivy (Max Amani), suddenly give her two reasons to blow up her summer.

Unidentified Objects - June 9
Peter is a misanthropic dwarf hiding from the world in his shabby New York City apartment. But an unexpected visit from his upbeat - and possibly unhinged - neighbor Winona forces him out of his shell and onto an impromptu road trip. Their destination? What she believes to be the site of an upcoming alien visitation in the wilderness of rural Canada. On their increasingly-surreal odyssey, Peter and Winona will encounter bickering lesbian cosplayers, shroom-addled survivalists, and even extraterrestrial highway cops. But the further they go and the more their trauma comes to light, it becomes clear that the only thing more nerve-wracking than being abducted is being alone in the universe.

The Full Monty - June 14
Taking place 25 years after the original British smash hit, the eight-episode series will follow the same band of brothers as they navigate the post-industrial city of Sheffield and society’s crumbling healthcare, education, and employment sectors.
The comedy-drama will uncover what happened to the gang after they put their kit back on, exploring their brighter, sillier and more desperate moments. It will also highlight how the fiercely funny world of these working-class heroes - still residing in Sheffield - has changed in the intervening decades

Jagged Mind - June 15
Directed by Kelley Kali (“I’m Fine (Thanks for Asking)”), “Jagged Mind” is about a woman plagued by blackouts and strange visions that lead her to discover she’s stuck in a series of time loops, possibly related to her mysterious new girlfriend. Maisie Richardson-Sellers (“DC’s Legends of Tomorrow,” “The Originals”) stars as “Billie,” alongside Shannon Woodward (“Westworld,” “Raising Hope”) as her girlfriend, “Alex”.

Project Runway All Stars - June 15
Project Runway is returning to the workroom, but with a twist: the show’s first-ever All-Stars season.
Project Runway All-Stars will give the designers one last shot to change their lives forever with a career-defining win. They’ll put it all on the line for a chance at redemption in a high-stakes season full of surprises and a twist that changes the game.

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, Season 2 - June 15
In season 2 of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise, under the command of Captain Christopher Pike, confronts increasingly dangerous stakes, explores uncharted territories and encounters new life and civilizations. The crew will also embark on personal journeys that will continue to test their resolve and redefine their destinies. Facing friends and enemies both new and familiar, their adventures will unfold in surprising ways never seen before on any Star Trek series.

Swiping America - June 15
In this sexy and true to life rom-doc series, a group of diverse singles that are representative across many different types of relationships swipe their way across the country looking for love through their dating apps. In Swiping America, four New Yorkers in their late twenties /thirties who can’t figure out dating in NYC are given the opportunity to head across the country in search of their person. Dating in New York is hard. It’s hard to meet people when everyone is constantly looking for the next best thing.
A Travel Doc meets a Dating show meets a Romantic Comedy; this series is all about the process of dating and meeting people while also navigating and exploring personal issues around sex, relationships, and connection. Each episode, we land with our four leads in a new American city as they start receiving their matches. The next day, all four characters go out with 1-5 people on different dates as they explore who they are, while learning about these new people and new locations across the US. In the final episode, each of our characters will reunite with dates from the road to see if they want to continue a relationship beyond the series.

The Blackening - June 16
The Blackening follows seven black friends who go away for the weekend only to find themselves trapped in a cabin with a killer who has a vendetta. Will their street smarts and knowledge of horror movies help them stay alive?

Sublime - June 20
Sublime is a thoughtful and tender handling of a teen’s emerging sexuality. Shy 16–year-old Manuel (Martín Miller) comes alive when he, his best friend Felipe (Teo Inama Chiabrando) and other buddies form a garage rock band. The two boys, friends since childhood, have a close, easy relationship made even more intense with the band and their music making. Strains develop for Manuel when his best mate starts dating a girl. Manuel also begins to date a female classmate, yet all the while suppressing his nascent sexual feelings for Felipe. Confused, and fearful that his feelings are not mutual, he retreats into himself, eventually lashing out which forces him to confront his feeling head on. A sensitive feature debut with this sweet, queer, coming-of-age drama.

The Stroll - June 21
When Director Kristen Lovell moved to New York City in the 1990s and began to transition, she was fired from her job. With so few options to earn money to survive, Kristen, like many transgender women of color during this era, began sex work in an area known as “The Stroll” in the Meatpacking District of lower Manhattan, where trans women congregated and forged a deep camaraderie to protect each other from harassment and violence.
Reuniting her sisters to tell this essential New York story from their first-hand experiences, Kristen’s intimate narration and interviews bring an astonishing array of archival material of bygone New York from the 1970s through the early 2000s to life.

And Just Like That..., Season 2 - June 22
HBO hasn’t released an official synopsis yet... but there will undoubtedly be sex... and a city... and the return of Samantha Jones!

Glamorous - June 22
Glamorous tells the story of Marco Mejia, a young gender non-conforming queer man whose life seems to be stuck in place until he lands a job working for legendary makeup mogul Madolyn Addison. It’s Marco’s first chance to figure out what he wants out of life, who he actually is, and what it really means for him to be queer.

Nimona - June 23
When a knight in a futuristic medieval world is framed for a crime he didn’t commit, the only one who can help him prove his innocence is Nimona — a mischievous teen who happens to be a shapeshifting creature he’s sworn to destroy.

The Witcher, Season 3 - June 29
As monarchs, mages, and beasts of the Continent compete to capture her, Geralt takes Ciri into hiding, determined to protect his newly-reunited family against those who threaten to destroy it. Entrusted with Ciri’s magical training, Yennefer leads them to the protected fortress of Aretuza, where they hope to uncover more about the girl’s untapped powers; instead, they discover they’ve landed in a battlefield of political corruption, dark magic, and treachery. They must fight back, put everything on the line – or risk losing each other forever.

Every Body - June 30
Every Body is a revelatory investigation of the lives of intersex people. The film tells the stories of three individuals who have moved from childhoods marked by shame, secrecy, and non-consensual surgeries to thriving adulthoods after each decided to set aside medical advice to keep their bodies a secret and instead came out as their authentic selves. Actor and screenwriter River Gallo (they/them), political consultant Alicia Roth Weigel (she/they), and Ph.D. student Sean Saifa Wall (he/him) are now leaders in a fast-growing global movement advocating for greater understanding of the intersex community and an end to unnecessary surgeries. Woven into the story is a stranger-than-fiction case of medical abuse, featuring exclusive footage from the NBC News archives, which helps explain the modern-day treatment of intersex people.

Linoleum - June 30
When the host of a failing children’s science show tries to fulfill his childhood dream of becoming an astronaut by building a rocket ship in his garage, a series of bizarre events occur that cause him to question his own reality.
