Out gay superstar Orville Peck is one of the main stars featured on Apple TV+’s upcoming country music reality competition series, My Kind of Country.

Executive produced by none other than Kacey Musgraves and Reese Witherspoon, My Kind of Country will feature three “scouts”: Orville Peck, Jimmy Allen, and Mickey Guyton. Each of these artists will scout and guide a group of contestants as they navigate their way through this competition.

This eight-part series will feature 12 contestants divided into three groups, each led by one of the scouts. These contestants take a trip to the home of country music, Nashville, Tennessee, and compete for a “life-changing experience from Apple, including global exposure across the Apple TV+ and Apple Music platforms.”

These up-and-coming country artists come not only from all across the United States, but also from around the world. Peck’s roster of contestants includes Alisha Pais, The Congo Cowboys, Ismay Hellamn, and Micaela Kleinsmith.

Allen will be scouting contestants Ale Aguirre, Dhruv Visvanath, Camille Parker, and Justin Serrao. Guyton will be guiding a roster of competitors that includes Ashlie Amber, Chuck Adams, The Betsies, and Wandile.

Besides serving as executive producers behind the series, Witherspoon and Musgraves also make an appearance in the trailer. With such an incredibly diverse cast of scouts and contestants across the board, My Kind of Country seems like the kind of music competition show that everyone will love to watch!

My Kind of Country premieres Friday, March 24 on Apple TV+.
