This week we'd like to introduce you to Young Kaii, formerly knows as K Star, a talented female rapper who fell in love with hip hop at a very young age. A Providence, Rhode Island native, she did not discover hip hop until she began making summer visits to NYC and discovered the unforgettable lyrics of rappers such as The Notorious BIG, Tupac, Mase, and Dr. Dre.
Soon after, Young Kaii released a series of mix tapes including “The Gossip Volume 1” and “The Gossip Volume 2.” This created a huge buzz not only in her hometown, but also in New York, Miami, and her parents’ home of the Dominican Republic.
Her versatility not only stems from her ability to produce punch line after punch line, but also from her hunger for success, and willingness to push the envelope. She has achieved great notoriety for her ability to reinvent herself.
In 2010, K-Star decided to embark on an all-inclusive mixture of music, which includes rap and R&B. Thus, her persona, Young Kaii, is one that draws old and new fans together in enjoyment of this new, fuller sound. On her up and coming album, Young Kaii will introduce R & B melodies as well as giving fans her traditional eclectic rap style.
Young Kaii continues to focus on her Team *ARTABLAZE*, recordings, performances and traveling throughout the country to help gain momentum for her up-and-coming career. Ultimately, these key ingredients make Young Kaii an unstoppable artistic force in a widening musical arena.
