A new animated short film is making us swoon.
Cariño, created by Carlos Taborda, Ashley Williams, and Roshel Amuruz, is described as "an LGBTQ love story about a boy trying to catch the attention of the one he admires." The three-minute film follows our hero on the search for a flower to give to his crush.
Taborda shared images from the film on Twitter, where it went viral. "I’m here to post about my thesis film Cariño, a canonically #gay short #film that takes place in the streets of Colombia," he wrote.

Fans loved the film. "No way!! This melted my heart, Cartagena in the house, the scenography, the story. THIS IS EVERYTHING," one commenter wrote. "Thanks for this!"
“@cmdrzate Hi, I'mfrom Cartagena. I cried with emotion within seconds of seeing your short film. I had never before seen myself or felt represented in any other artistic product. I saw myself walking through the center of Cartagena or sitting on the benches in a park with a boy.”— Ć (@Ć) 1623946056
